Are you Looking for the best wedding venue to get married in Florida?

There are a million reasons why you’d want to get married in Florida… well, maybe not a million, but A LOT!! The sunshine state is a hot spot for Destination Weddings. The gorgeous weather we have almost year-round, warm sun, beaches, rich Spanish history, and our amazing cities are a few things that attract tourists, especially for their vows! I’ve come up with a list of gorgeous wedding venues all around Florida, that would be an amazing backdrop for you to say your I Do’s!

I’ve been shooting weddings for 11 years now, and to call it a job is flat out incredible and humbling at the same time! Seeing what makes a wedding venue the best in a photography aspect can be a little different than to the common eye. South Florida Wedding Venues

West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami and a bunch of smaller towns make up South Florida. In my opinion, the beaches are not what makes South Florida a hot spot for some of the best wedding venues in FL! It’s the historic Spanish architecture that makes these venues feel romantic, one of a kind, and couples from all over the world flock to South Florida to get married!

The Cooper Estate is a elegant wedding venue located in Redland, FL. The property is still today a working native plant nursery. Massive live oak canopies, waterfalls, fish ponds, a sunken grotto, all naturally shaded and lined with rare palms, along with acres of manicured gardens are just some of the unique features that makes this an amazing place to have a wedding! Villa Woodbine is a Mediterranean mansion was build in the 1930s on “Millionaire’s Row”. It’s a perfect place to have a wedding with its open-air designs of central courtyards and large loggias with Spanish arches particularly adapted to the Miami climate with its warm tropical breezes.  Cuban design influenced the interior design of the property. The Cuban tile in the dining room is a rare example of this craft. The beautifully polished tiles on the loggias bring memories of another era.

The Ancient Spanish Monastery is 12th-century Monastery Cloisters brought from Spain to the US by William Randolph Hearst in 1924. The creates sat in a Brooklyn Warehouse for 26 years and was purchased 1 year after Hearst’s death. Two entrepreneurs purchase them, brought them to Miami and put together “the biggest jigsaw puzzle in history” said by Times Magazine in 1953. There are five outdoor spaces for weddings: The Loggia, Prayer Well, Banyan Tree, Saviour Garden, and St. John Garden. The Gardens can accommodate up to 300 guests.

The surrounding areas of Wynwood and it’s graffiti walls make in one of my top unique places to get married for the couples that are more edgy! Oxford Exchange was built to be a unique place for community to gather and communion. The inspiration behind it came from travels abroad. It has a Vintage Bookstore, Buddy Brew Coffee Shop, Tea Bella Shop, an incredible Restaurant, and meeting rooms. It also serves as one of the best venues in Tampa to have a wedding. Base in The Heights of Tampa, Armature Works was previously the old Trolley Barn to repair and store Tampa’s Electric Streetcars. This property located on the front of Hillsborough river, is a neighborhood hangout with a Public Market space, filled with amazing restaurants and bars. The builder used as many original materials as possibly while refurbishing this incredible space. With the exposed brick, soft teal stucco, skylights and windows - it has so much character, which is a huge reason to host your wedding there. They have a few different spaces for events to be held.

The Rialto Theatre is a unique space with exposed white washed brick and high wood rafter ceilings. This space can hold an incredible ceremony and then be flipped to the reception space while cocktail hour is going on. Just blocks away from the Hillsborough river, this place makes for some awesome Urban photos!

Station House located in the heart of St Petersburg, FL is one of the best urban venues in the City! Previously used as a fire station and train station has transformed into one of the best co-op work spaces for entrepreneurs that there is available! They have created a spot on the rooftop that can hold wedding ceremonies and receptions. It’s has a one of a kind feel that over looks the city of St. Pete.

Postcard Inn is a hip / vintage looking surf hotel located in St. Pete Beach, Florida. This wedding venue has a palm tree line garden area and also the beach where you can have a ceremony. The string lit reception in the garden makes for a romantic evening in the middle of their courtyard! This is the coolest hotel on St Pete Beach!

The Shuffle Board Court is one of the most unique wedding venues that’s in St. Pete. The club has been around since the early 1920s and until recently brides and grooms have wanted to start using this place for their wedding venue! How fun is this?!!? Perfect for nature lovers and couples looking for a serene location, you will find nothing but nature within miles of this venue. This resort was built on an old Phosphate mine. They built the golf course around these unique hills with views unlike anything you’d see in Florida. To me, it looks more like New Zealand. Powel Crosley Jr. built their Florida winter home for his wife in 1929. This Mediterranean mansion built on the Sarasota Bay. This gorgeous 11,000 square foot home has so much character and makes for a romantic and intimate wedding. The Powel Crosley Estate allows you to have your ceremony on the back lanai with a reception on the lawn. To see one of my favorite weddings that I’ve shot here, click the photo below.

The Ringling Museum of Art is one of my favorite places to shoot in Florida. This gorgeous Museum has multiple places to host your wedding. The Ca’ d’Zan Mansion was built by John Ringling for his wife Mable. This beautiful house is unlike anything in the Sarasota area. It was design with a Venetian Gothic style of the palazzi in Venice, Italy in mind. Being right on the water, the Bayfront Promenade makes a sight like no other for wedding guests.

The Museum also offers weddings to be held in their courtyard. It’s a three-tiered level courtyard to have spots for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all in one large spot. It’s surrounded by a beautiful pink Loggia corridor.
